Employers

£39.4 Billion!

This is the cost to business of Mental ill Health in 2015/2016 as calculated by the Health and Safety Executive. 10% due to staff turnover, 30% to absenteeism and 60% to presenteeism – people coming to work because they feel they have to and being unable to work to their potential.

Charities National campaigns like Time for Change have been leading the way in encouraging businesses to be more mental health aware, improving workplace culture, and breaking down mental health stigma, to the benefit of all employees.

Our project is aimed at supplying a high quality training opportunity for your business or workplace to become more mental health aware. This can improve understanding, workplace morale, and save money.

There are three different steps of the programme – all which are being offered free to Cornish businesses!

1. Mental Health Awareness in Business Course

Delivered by qualified mental health awareness experts & Mental Health First Aid trainers from Working Well (SW) Ltd.

This 3 hour course introduces: the importance of mental health awareness for businesses and what that means, the spectrum of mental health, an overview of mental health conditions, and the impact of mental ill health on businesses.

2. Developing a Mental Health Aware Business

The course will include an introduction to policies, processes, accreditations and charter marks, and you will complete your own action plan to take back to your business.
